Please find a link below to show the template we used for printing our own wedding invitations. We used a picture of the venue in the background to add some colour and a personal touch.
Example DIY Invitation Insert (pdf format)
To print your own inserts, if you are using MS Word first set the paper size to be the same as the size of your insert, File, Page Setup, Paper (tab), Custom Size (from drop down menu) and enter the dimensions in the boxes provided.
If you want to add a picture in the background you can do this by selecting, Format, background, Printed Watermark then Select Picture and pick the pictre you want. You will need to play about with the size and outline of the picture to get it right.
Then enter the text you need and you are ready to go. Well almost, I strongly recommend that you print your design out on plain paper cut to the same size keep doing this until you are absolutely happy with the result before risking your precious inserts!!
If you are feeling clever you can set up a mail merge and get the software to generate all the invitations for you automatically or you can modify and save each one separately. |
